The political party’s beliefs are at center stage. The platform describes where a political party stands on all major issues for the election. In order to build a complete and stable platform, it needs to be constructed of many planks, or single issues. Candidates will need to have clear stances on issues that are important in the election. Ideological differences between the major political parties will be identifiable on the platform where candidates may propose contrasting policies regarding taxes, health, education, welfare, or national security - to name a few.
