Elections - Primaries

In presidential elections, the nomination process includes primary elections where candidates must earn majority support from their party’s delegates in each state. After each state holds its own primary, the party’s presidential nominations are finalized and celebrated at the nomination convention, which usually takes place the summer before the general election in November.
